Livelihood in forestry initiative
Livelihood in forestry initiative under the Lebanese Reforestation initiative required a financially viable and safe alternative to the traditional method of charcoal production in the Deir El Ahmar union of municipalities. The solution provided was a carbonization unit that is provided to the community overseen by the municipality. Throughout the project, we provided the municipality with design plans of the cabronization facility, trained municipal and local agents on the use of the facility, and provided the necessary documents and tools required to manage the facility.
